- Mary and Condé continue to make arrangements to go to Scotland, while Condé continues to meet with Elizabeth's envoy. Catherine becomes suspicious of the relationship between Mary and Condé. Leith offers to try and help Greer.
- When Catherine becomes suspicious that Mary and Conde are having an affair, Mary risks Catherine discovering just how deep her betrayal goes. Francis becomes gravely ill after he collapses and Bash's life is in jeopardy when he leaves to work as the King's Deputy. - A vigilant French port agent spots and kills Mary's Scottish agent Ridley and confiscates and his letters from Mary on preparations for her return to help brother James in Scotland fight off English invaders and collaborators. Mary is angered when Louis confides about his meetings with Lord Burgess on Elisabeth's offer of marriage, but works with Louis to manipulate Burgess into giving them information they need on the safe routes to Scotland. Louis choosing Mary over the English throne, they make love. Bash leaves Kenna to investigate and fire a corrupt official, by whom he is later mortally wounded, but is saved by fake nun Delphine whom he begs for her mystery healing, even reminded that her miracles may come at another lethal price.Mary's letters outlining her plans to abandon France were taken by mercenary general Renaude, who passes them to regular employer Narcisse, who informs Catherine, who tells Francis, who collapses, blood dripping from his ear. Catherine fears that this means Nostradamus's prophecy of her firstborn's death comes true; Narcisse comforts her and they have sex. When Catherine learns that Claude is trying to seduce Narcisse, she orders Leith to become Claude's bodyguard and entertaining babysitter, but she runs off.
