I enjoy these stories. Funny and definitely cringeworthy! But when reenacting them I wish it was more "real" and not so overdramatized. Take out the fake sillyness! Otherwise these all make me glad I'm not dating any more 😊

Starts Funny Turns Dark

The first season is funny with an edge - people stuck in awkward, cringey situations - we've all been there. The series is well-produced and looks like a lot of money went into it - yay for work for filmmakers. The directing and acting is so good I wish all everything available to watch was like this. Unfortunately in Season 2, things become problematic. I'm not sure that caricaturising a religious parent was acceptable, even as told by the lead - maybe jokes about ethnic stereotypes should be kept within the community? Season 3 features a celebrity disclosing what seems to have been an untreated mental health issue followed by a horrific hunting story which I wish had a trigger warning on it. So I stopped at this point. Let me know if it goes back to being funny.
