Painful, but well-done

Warning: Spoilers
Will try my best not to give specifics for fear of spoilers, despite the warning, but I have to say this episode was by far the most heart- breaking of the entire series so far. It's brilliantly done. The tragedy that occurred was foreshadowed very early on. A veritable Checkov's gun, really. Doesn't take away from how much it hurt to watch. Beyond it, the episode highlights moral issues, human nature, touching emotional issues, all while moving the main plot along. It really is quite superb. This is fast becoming the best series of the current TV series. The acting is good, the writing well-crafted, each episode leaves you desperate for more. What more can you ask of a show?

Saviour Day
Prismark1028 December 2016
So there was a reason why Father Jude was chosen to search for the false messiah's. The hierarchy wanted to elevate one of them as the true returning one in these testing times. It seems they have lost faith but not Father Jude. He has made love with Sister Celine, in love with her, both contemplate leaving the church but his faith is still strong. However he is in danger now as he knows too much.

Operation Saviour has been initiated with a missile launched to blow it off course but it has failed but the politicians lie to the public and tell them it was a success. The rest of the world celebrate.

Ariel and Jamie meet in a Slough car park with Ariel taking any opportunity to humiliate Jamie and of course wanting Layla to come back with him because of his demented love for her. However I find this part of the story to be the most dull.

The most heartbreaking moment Father Jude awaits Sister Celine, but it is a tragic reunion.
