They'd do domestic chores all day without complaining, but the customers got bored with that so the company widened the parameters on later marks; but then owners felt threatened; they wanted the outdated uncomplaining kind back, so junk dealers broke old ones for spares and resuscitated them.

  Gina : Why?

  Resusistator / dealer : Well, obviously if you could build a model that'd do the housework without complaining and give sex as well, you'd make fortune! That put pretty heavy pressure on the boomer.

  Gina : Maybe enough to drive it insane?

  Resusistator / dealer : Well, I'm not saying that: but look at it this way: if you equip a subservient boomer that's programmed to only do housework with sexual impulses, it makes some pretty confusing demands on the bio-chips you got, in original function planning, which might in some circumstances upset the whole system!
