Respiri by Alfredo Fiorillo

The Psychological Thriller Movies are recognized to be intriguing, by entertain the audience with tension through the atmospheres and surprising moments with a twist ending. The main characters are important in these movies as they'd show their feelings, through their facial expressions and body language to express their melancholy. The main characters usually live in one place either in a villa, hotel or in an old great house, where most of the main characters would face their greatest fear by trying to get through their trauma. The director Alfredo Fiorillo has been interested to develop a Psychological Thriller movie, with gothic atmospheres and great suspense. After years of hard working, the director with the cast and crew have released Respiri (Breaths) in 2018, which is also Alfredo Fiorillo's first feature film. Movie's plot: after an unexplained trauma, the engineer Francesco decides to live with his daughter in an isolated villa of Lake of Iseo. Then strange things start to happen in the villa, which includes the sound of breaths that would be listened through the following movie's story. Respiri is a movie full of mysteries and atmospheres with great suspense and surprising moments, which would catch the audience's attention from the beginning until the ending. One of the most interesting elements of Respiri is the villa or the place, where gives the atmospheres and suspense needed for the story. The editing and the camera work both well to be compatible, by giving the movie the rhythm needed to be impactful. Francesco played by Alessio Boni is a melancholy character, who expresses his emotions with facial expressions and body language. These expressions make the main character psychologically mysterious, as the actor Alessio Boni worked really hard to have done an excellent job. The dialogues and monologues make the interaction, between Francesco and other characters interesting. To see how the main character would interact with them, to take then some unexpected actions including with his daughter. The Score by Teho Teardo was worked in a particular way, to give the movie the rhythm needed to be atmospheric. Respiri is a really good start for the director Alfredo Fiorillo, it is also recommended for the fans of Psychological Thriller.
