Ten-minute interview with director Sidney Lumet that can be found on the Fox release of THE VERDICT. Lumet talks about various subjects ranging from rehearsals and why they're so important to his relationship with actor and why sometimes filming just doesn't work out right. I thought there were several interesting things discussed here including Lumet talking about how you film three days and then you just have to realize that the scene isn't working and then you figure out how to either take it out and make sure that the rest of the film doesn't collapse without it. Another interesting part was hearing the legendary director talk about why he never tries to get too high when awards start coming in or too low when the public or critics just don't connect with a film. Fans of Lumet are certainly going to enjoy this little conversation as he talks about some interesting subjects and he always manages to be entertaining.
