A show about actors, where noboady can actually act. With the exception of Carter Jenkins, Kieth Powers and Shawn Christian, there is no one that can really act on the show. Most performances are cringeworthy and you are constatly aware they you are watching a show, a show that isn't very good. Full of non-drama drama like "Will Paige get fired" or "Will the movie be a succes" answers we allready know since the show spoils it in the first five minutes. Other than that it's mostly teen drama and all the usual clishés. Springled with random namedropping of social media and celebreties way to famous to ever be on a show like this, just to show how hip with the kids this thing is, so it all comes off as forced. You find yourself wondering why you are watching tha show at all, and then you just stop.

I can't say I'm a big Bella Thorn fan because I've only seen her in a bikini in Mexico on Daily Mail, so I can't take her very seriously but boy did I like this show. It moved through the story nicely, I liked the characters and especially Bella's character. She gets a second chance with me. I like the characters and the back stabbing is wonderful. I'm sure it happens in Hollywood on a consistent basis. Give it a chance I think you'll like it. I have to come back to this because I hadn't seen the last 2 episodes. Unless this gets a second season, the 1st season isn't worth watching, the whole show is a cliffhanger hoping for season 2.

As a huge fan of Marlene King's "Pretty Little Liars" series, I wasn't sure what to expect when approaching "Famous In Love." I knew it would be an entirely different genre, and that's what makes it so great.

The show follows Paige Townsen through her journey into the spotlight, but oddly, she does not always feel like the main character. Rainer, her co-star and love interest, seems to have more interesting story lines than she does as times, despite not being the lead. Paige's two best friends, Jake and Cassie, both have extremely different, yet similar, personalities, and whereas Cassie's frustration with her best friend at times is understandable, Jake comes across as shallow, especially when all his friends want to do is help.

As the series progresses, the stories and characters grow to become likable, all except Jake, which is my only complaint considering he's in it as much as he is. There seems to be no sort of character development, and the writers constantly have him walking around shirtless, which is completely cringe-worthy. Even Rainer, the famous one, doesn't do that.

Overall, Famous in Love is an unsurprisingly good new show by Marlene King and I hope that it continues to stick around for years to come.

Look, I'm binging this and it's oddly enjoyable, despite the fact that A. Not realistic, B. The kiddie fights and indignation are hilarious (it's like it was written by a teenager) and C. The cast are not charismatic.

It would have been great if they'd worked on the script and acting seriously - funnily enough.. Like what the show is about.

I actually like this show it's not bad as everyone makes it out to be and it's a shame it got cancelled. It actually depicts on how fame can change you and consume you and how Hollywood could control you

I love the book so I had to watch! I didn't even know the show had aired yet!! I binge watched all 10 episodes on demand and can't wait to see season 2, I really hope freeform doesn't keep the fans waiting too long! Only ten episodes is definitely not enough! The story is a quite a bit different from the book but still worth watching.

why every telenovela has been always three angle love, and the girl always mess with two guys, three guys, this one is top, mom and son, cheat between best friend, sleep with all girls, can't we have something decent! did you guy seriously like the jordan, rainer, characters?

I liked the athmosphere though. But It was full of cringe scenes, you can't forget about that the characters are actors... and the story was just lame and stupid.

I watched all 10 episodes and it was great. It took me about a day to watch them. I just want to know who shot that guy and who does Bella Thorne pick. Is it her friend or is it her co-star. I just cant stop thinking about it. I want the next episode already. Well, I recommend this show to everybody who likes to know what is going to happen next.

I do love these types of shows so was looking forward to watching it. The story line is decent but the acting (or should I say OVER acting) is pretty bad. Bella Thorne who plays Paige was the only semi decent actor which saved a lot of scenes and stopped me from giving this less than 5/10. Niki Koss who plays Alexis is shockingly bad in this series. I wouldn't be surprised if she is not in Season 2. The editing room have not done this show any justice also as there was several moments where I was left scratching my head as I had no idea what was going on...it was like some poignant scenes had been cut leaving the story line empty and confusing. I did watch all 10 episodes as I was curious to see if it got any better, but it didn't. If you are bored with nothing to watch then give it a go but don't expect too much from this one.

SEASON 01:

Most surprising series of the year. It's shocking to know it did not get the recognition it deserved. Yes, it was not like you have never heard the story before. The same old film industry formula. How things work, particularly what are all the trouble the newcomers would face stepping inside the studio. Besides, scams, controversies, personal feud, broken friendship, business deal, press meet, public appearance and many more it covers.

I am a film fanatic that I only started to watch the television series in the recent years, but reviewing them was only very recently. The reason I like television series is the details. In films, you won't get that kind of details for a 90 or 120 minute film. But a series of ten episodes and each runs for 40 minutes means an average of seven hours per season. There you go, they can cover every minute detail they want and even more.

Some of the parts of the story were intentional, but overall it worked out well. The curiosity it created for its viewers was awesome. At the end of each episode I have been always eager to know what might come in the next. Like I said, it was more a curiosity than suspense. That's the major difference that people who watched it not getting, hence showing displeasure.

Three freshmen, as well as close friends living under the same roof have their own agenda to be in the city of Angels. When one of them bags the unexpected role for a feature film, becomes an overnight famous. That leads to change many things around. Never sees the solution, but only the issue gets bigger. At one stage, comes the time everything to be sorted out, but again pulls back with a twist. It all consists of fame, jealousy, disputes and other complications. Like any tale, who end where and what will be the conclusion is the final episode that unfolds.

Best casting. I liked all the actors, actresses. Bella Thorne exceptional in the lead. Actually, I did not expect that, having seen her in other films. Definitely the best performance so far I've seen. I hope the second season makes its way. Because it did not end properly. I really disappointed with that. I thought it was going to solve all the puzzle in here itself. But it's good they have saved some of it to take forward in the following season.

...Because there's will be something for us to expect from it than guessing what new it going to give us like in the films that ended comfortable, but after its great commercial success, the filmmakers create a new story, a new adventure out of nothing, except with those fine characters to destroy the original. Anyway, this is a fine programme, but now I'm waiting for the next season. Just don't think it's for teenagers, but for grown ups too. Go for it!

OK so I'm not a total fan of Bella Thorne but I've seen her Disney channel's shake it up and it think she's an OK actress so i gave this show a try, and wham i fell in love. Every episode leads you on, revealing the most outrageous secrets about each character leading on to more intense drama. So it's basically about a girl named Paige (Bella Thorne) who starts in the beginning having a normal life roommates with her two best friends Cassie and Jake but then one day new movie decides to cast random girls in town and her best friend Cassie convinces Paige to go with her and she does not expecting to receive the role and wham she becomes famous which is where our story takes us. Everything that Paige knew is gone her life turns and changes happen as if her her life is turned upside down such as her friends becoming distant from her because of her new famous life, torn between liking her best friend Jake and her new costar Rainer, above all that everyone has secrets which us deeper leaving us with "wtf" every episode we hit next. It's that damn good, can't for season 2!!!!!!

I somehow ended up watching the pilote for this show. I knew it was going to be silly, hence why I gave it a try. Just to see how cringy they could make it. And I barely endured it. The cast is disappointedly terrible. They don't fit their roles at all. They feel very uncomfortable and talk like they just memorized the script. The love triangle is basically just putting three people together without any logical reasons. Basically the whole plot is cheesy. I don't recommend.

O my god i love this show so much i watched it on the FreeFrom app and couldn't take a break the is my 5th time re watching the first season only. i highly recommend it, i don't really like how it left us on the cliff hanger but i understand why and #raige all the way #raige. :) i also love it how it has that since of mystery and you don't know what will happen next and the bad boy good boy Cenerio it is absolutely great i can not wait for season 2 and many more :) :) :)

The acting, the lines everything was just terrible. Sometimes the actors are only robots waiting for the other one to say his/her lines so they can say theirs. Both Paige and Jake, specially Jake, did a terrible acting. I do like teen series to spend time and I don't have high hopes for these kind of TV shows but seriously, it was really bad. It was not even the fact of being too predictable, and it was (but it always is in these kind of shows), it was for the set and actors. I didn't give a 1 star or 2 star for this show because I have seen worse shows like ShadowHunters or Riverdale.

I wasn't expecting too much from this show but I can't stop watching the whole series. It was fantastic, in every episode more and more secrets were revealed, so the watcher must see the next episode too. It's great that I Marlene King could do such a great series after Pretty Little Liars which I really love. I can't wait until season 2, and recommend it to everyone!

I can not wait for season 2. Excellent cast and the plot <3. I was sitting all day and watched the whole season in one breath. Interesting development, I hope that it will be continued. Also I like all characters, because they are so different and bright! The TV-show makes you worry about them like they are your close friend :D

Worst acting, worst script I've ever seen... but still watched the whole thing! So many holes in a dumb show... literally a character got shot and it just was like "oh well move on.. explained "

Idk how I got through the first episode. If there was a word that could sum up the whole show, it would be BORING!!!! Too many sluts and casual sex with no love. I was hoping to see her at school and like in those teen movies with her being a popular girl at school because of her starring role. I'm not gonna deny I was hoping see a little "Gossip Girl" in this but it's just... missing something. Really, there was nothing that drew me in but the storyline.

I love the story, characterization, casting and plots. Being a film making student I aspire to work on this kind of projects.

I'll admit when I first heard of this show I thought it was gonna be stupid but I binged the entire season in one day. It's interesting, the acting is good, the characters are good and so is the story. Bella Thorne does a really good job in her role and so does everyone else. I recommend giving it a watch.
