Mills No!

A very touching episode!

Charlie Barnett deserves to remain a regular on the show. As Mills he plays a true egalitarian, his character is a modern-day renaissance man who is a good friend to his firefighting brothers and sisters. His character has that overwhelming desire to help people as an EMT and a Fire Fighter. Mills' relationship with Gabriella was lovely to watch and he handled the breakup like a real man and continued to be a good friend to Gabby. Mills is the type of character I can really get behind and route for.

Chicago Fire is such a good show. The episodes are heartfelt and the characters make me want to continue watching. I really enjoy the action and the plots. I highly recommend it.

Sadly, since Covid, I feel like people have changed for the worse. People are tougher, harder, and less willing to help each other. I see unabashed selfishness everywhere and it makes me so sad for our country (USA), and beyond. In my opinion, Covid hasn't brought people together the way other national emergencies have done in the past. I can only hope this "me, me, me" attitude changes and people can relearn how good it feels to help someone like you see so much of on Chicago Fire.

Some of the worst direction, writing, contrived situations...

Warning: Spoilers
This is just a painfully bad episode of television.

Some very bad edits, writing, directing, contrived situations...

AND, then they have a weird thing where they have Mariska Hargitay pointing in different directions off camera while talking on Skype.

But, let's get to the episode. So guy thinks he's guilty and is about to jump off the bridge. They have a ton of trucks and fire people show up and instead of simply shouting out immediately "we know you're innocent, we have the proof, the police are looking at someone else", they go to surround him and then have this stupid thing where the female firefighter jumps over the rail with a line tied on, that then gets lightly snagged in between two pieces of metal she can just take one step back and undo, but instead undoes herself and continues to wait to the last second to tell him he is innocent.

Wow. Just so poorly shot, written, directed, edited. It's like that bad film school student who isn't there to learn about their art or tell stories, but wants to make "cool movies"; completely contrived and pretentious.

I will never watch this show again, and the actors who are all very good, should be extremely angry that these hacks are destroying their reputations.

Boo.
