Dire Straits peak

Warning: Spoilers
Money for Nothing was peak Dire Straits, and the lyrics really stick in your head and they are controversial in one stanza and I'm surprised Dire Straits didn't suffer the usual backlash that we see now if you know what I mean.
Anyway, the video is thought provoking and it's hard to believe it's nearly 40 years old, yes four decades ago, wow hard to believe. But the 80s were peak Dire Straits for sure, with The Latest Trick also being a favorite hit I love listening to over and over again. Anyway, Money for Nothing lives on forty years later and no doubt will live on for another forty years init.

Did not appeal to me

Warning: Spoilers
"Dire Straits: Money for Nothing" is exactly what the title says: the music video for the song "Money for Nothing" from the Dave Knopfler Music group Dire Straits. It is basically a mix of sub-par animation with uninspired concert recordings and I cannot say I enjoyed the watch at all. The listen is slightly better admittedly, but it's not a great song by any means either. Overall there is really no reason to watch this music video instead of just listening to the record, even if 32 million people already saw it on Youtube. This is not even particularly good for the 1980s. It already had its 30th anniversary last year, but I have seen many superior works from that era as well. Overall, a disappointment. Money for nothing would be awesome, but I also want some money for sitting through these 5 minutes. Watch (and listen to) something else instead.
