One of four previously unreleased and incomplete episodes which were never finished due the the cancellation of the show.
The animation is shown in a basic form which the LucasFilm animation team use to edit the story before it is finalized and completed.
Supervising director Dave Filoni promised fans that some story arcs would be shown even after the cancellation of the series to complete some on going story lines. These were The Bad Batch and the Utapau arc.
Every main character model has been updated with smaller eyes than they had in the original run of the series, bringing the look of the characters more in line with those on Star Wars: Rebels (2014) and Star Wars: Resistance (2018)
The Bad Batch's official squad designation is "Clone Force 99". They are named after a malformed clone with genetic defects named '99' who was seen in ARC Troopers (2010). Each member of the Bad Batch has a skull icon and the Aurebesh numbers 99 printed on their armor.
Although introduced as the seventh season of the show and "new", most of these episodes (at least eight of them, divided in two arcs) belong to the sixth season, unfinished at the time. A rough editing of these episodes (named story reels) is available online.
The model used for Anakin Skywalker has been updated to reflect his look in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). Mace Windu's model has had been updated with a more solid build, thicker neck, bulkier chest and torso, and eyelashes. His tabbards have been shortened and his boots are closer to the live action version.
