One Foot in the Groove (2006)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Kris Kristofferson and Donnie Fritts sit down for a 27-minute interview with the subject being the great Sam Peckinpah. Both men worked, fought and certainly drank with the legendary director several times and they both share their stories and wildest memories of him. A lot of the discussion is based around the making of PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID, which was a very troubled production and release. Kristofferson talks about how he got the role, the various issues on the set and he also talks in detail about Bob Dylan's soundtrack and him introducing Dylan and Peckinpah. From here we also hear about some of the making of CONVOY. If you're a fan of the actor or the director then this here is going to be a must see because there are some very funny stories told. If you like drunken fight stories then you'll certainly love this because there are plenty of them including one where the director got beat up by a bartender over insulting Jack Lemmon!
