Love is all around ?
While not as dramatic as the Eastender Christmas for the most part this was a lighthearted and sometimes cheesy Christmas in Wetherfield. Majority of the time was spent in the enjoyable company with most of the cast getting in a line or two. Few dramatic moments interrupted the seasonal flow with only a couple of juicy lines and knowing looks in part 1 saving the main bombshell for part 2 and a nice little cat-fight to spice things up. The episodes were mainly full of ho ho ho's and only a couple of ho hum's. It was a nice contrast to the doom and gloom over in Walford. Ty's efforts in creating a winter wonderland paid off and brought in a cozy Christmas spirit to the episodes. Some other highlights included a potential for 3 proposals with only one going ahead.Sally and Tim at their best. Loved how Anna called her Mrs Bucket and the fun side Tim brings out in her. Some breakthrough for Kylie and David. Gail is alway funny when a bit tipsy with her close to the bone comments. Loving that Amy is channeling her inner Blanch and laughed when she caught Nessa the vegetarian stuffing a handful of turkey into her mouth. There was some contrast with all the lightheartedness for Mary; a close call for Johnny and Tracey paying a big price for getting ahead of herself. With all the gaudy Christmas jumpers; drinking; food and an almost kiss there was a big Deride size hole. Miss you Derire with your cigarettes, wine and a well placed comment.
