Foul Langauge and Adultry

This was supposed to be a documentary about animal rescue, but moreover seems like the pursuit of a married woman Annette by Armando Navarrete who has severe potty mouth with F bombs galore. Not for children

Celebrating the Joy of Life
matthewpalka10 December 2016
This film proves that dedication and gumption toward a colossal dream can pay off in a big way. You see the passion of someone who not only loves animals, but loves life. And no obstacle will stand in the way, not even a lack of knowledge on how to rappel with an ill equipped rope from the local hardware. Yeah, there's a great sense of joy and humor to this story too. When leaving the movie theater, I overheard a lady in the audience exclaiming she was going to volunteer at her local animal shelter. This is definitely one of those inspirational and uplifting stories that hits home. If that's not enough of an endorsement, I don't know what is.

If you love animals watch this!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Such a great uplifting film dedicated to our best friends and companions all over....From start to finish this is a must see. From their humble beginnings to their current success an inspiring documentary about the rescuing of these animals no matter the cost....I was very surprised what happens when we call for animal control and how they're treated afterwards. They started this with very little and never gave up, and the dedication of the team leader is awesome to say the least. A group of people going out and rescuing animals for little or nothing is amazing, if I wasn't sick I would love to volunteer with all my military training and such I could have been a help, repelling and such.

Situations and Characters that Resonate on Many Levels--SMART is a Unique and Compelling Documentary
logenz14 December 2016
I have seen SMART several times and it continues to hold my attention. The filmmakers do an excellent job of balancing footage of animal rescues with ethical considerations and human drama. They take viewers through the diverse neighborhoods of Los Angeles and also touch upon issues post-Hurricane Katrina. There are strong central characters and themes that resonate on a universal level. This documentary reminds us that we have a responsibility to care for the animals in our environments, and that animals are essential to our well being. SMART as a team and film is unique and sure to be appreciated by those who value companion animals.
