A newspaper preview of this show suggested it was a cross between Moonlighting and Republic of Doyle. What a complete insult to both far-superior shows! From the horrendous writing to the senseless and ubiquitous shots of Toronto cityscapes, this show was truly painful to watch. What a waste of Jason Priestley's talent and Cindy Sampson's potential. However, without a doubt, the most appalling aspect of this supposedly Canadian production is the total lack of understanding or research into the world of hockey, which seems even more ludicrous when you consider Priestley's character is supposed to be an ex-pro! I was really looking forward to this show, and hoping the writing would be more in tune with Doyle, Corner Gas and Being Erica than Rent a Goalie or Gerry Dee! Colour me disappointed. I doubt I'll watch another episode. Not even a cameo by the great Dougie Gilmour could save this mess!
