You CANNOT just CHANGE everything in the second season and call it Season 2! That's ridiculous. I'm so upset because I finally got into the first Season and was so happy to find the second Season and it's a different girl (woman)?!! With a completely different family?! This is horrible...I couldn't get into to this at all! What a shame. Ever hear of "If it isn't broke-don't fix it" for gods sake. Just...No.

Our Girl 2.1

Series two has Michelle Keegan taking over as Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, an army medic jilted at the altar and sent to Kenya on a humanitarian mission near the Somalian border.
As soon as she gets there a bomb causes havoc and death. Pretty soon Lane is dealing with charred bodies and infected wounds in kids that has spawned maggots.
Given Keegan cuts a glamorous dash with fake tan and false eyelashes there is plenty of sexist banter from the lads.
The episode ends with a dark turn as her vehicle is ambushed and Lane gets abducted by a guerrilla group.
It was all fast moving, plenty of ASAP being shouted out, leaving Lane with hardly much time to talk to her new boyfriend via Skype.
Maggots in a boy's mouth aside it lacked the grittiness of the Lacey Turner series, a girl from the council estate making a go of it to better her life. It is interesting to see where the next episode takes Lane.
