    Malcolm Merlyn : [appears out of the dark]  It might be harder than you think.

    Barry Allen : Is that the only way this guy knows how to enter a room?

    Malcolm Merlyn : My associates tell me Savage left Star City a few hours ago.

    John Diggle : For where?

    Malcolm Merlyn : We're not quite sure, but I assume after his run-in with you, he realized he needed something more powerful to complete his mission. We think he's trying to locate the Staff of Horus.

    Thea Queen : Sorry, what is that?

    Carter Hall : It's a relic from our past. An ancient and powerful weapon. If Savage gets his hands on it, it's going to be nearly impossible to stop him.

    Cisco Ramon : Since when did our lives suddenly become an "Indiana Jones" movie?

  • Green Arrow : We need to expose his wings.

    The Flash : I'm open to suggestions.

    Green Arrow : What, now you're listening to me?

    The Flash : It's your city, Oliver.

    Oliver Queen : Since when is that a thing?

    Barry Allen : About eight months. Maybe if you save Star City, you might get one, too.

  • Oliver Queen : Barry, I get that you're desperate to help and you want to be the hero and you want to save her yourself, but I think she has to have a part in it, too.

    [Barry scoffs] 

    Oliver Queen : What?

    Barry Allen : I-it's just the rules keep changing. It's one day I have to run through time, the next I'm fighting a telepathic gorilla, a-a-a-and now we're, what, we're-we're chasing down an immortal madman on a rampage against a reincarnated warrior priestess? I just never thought I had superpowers and feel more powerless than I have in my entire life.

    Oliver Queen : That part I understand.

  • [as they duck behind a church pew as Vandal Savage fires the Staff of Horus] 

    Green Arrow : Any ideas?

    The Flash : Oh, now you'll listen to me?

    Green Arrow : It's your city.

  • Oliver Queen : Kendra, there is a reason this guy is after you. Think.

    Cisco Ramon : Look, man, we just came out here to hide out for a bit until we figure things out, so you can just take it down...

    Oliver Queen : You came here because you need our help. This is what our help looks like.

    Barry Allen : Oliver, I just saved you guys from whatever the hell Flock of Seagulls was about to do. At least you can do is...

    Oliver Queen : Barry, none of us has superpowers. You brought Kendra into our world without knowing who she is or what this dude that is after her is looking for. You made all of us unsafe. So maybe YOU ask the questions.

  • Joe West : So cute. You guys are trying not to be affectionate in front of me.

    Patty Spivot : Oh, no, we're just showing some professionalism.

    Barry Allen : Yeah.

  • Vandal Savage : You tried those arrows once before, remember? They didn't quite finish the job, now, did they?

    Green Arrow : I'm not gonna make that mistake again.

    The Flash : You're gonna leave Kendra alone.

    Vandal Savage : I can't do that. While my destiny is to live forever, Chay-Ara's is to die, as is yours now.
