- Josh seems to be the only one studying at the teens' study session, and when Matt, Maddy and Evelyn's noisiness finally gets too much, he throws them out, then falls asleep studying again. Evelyn lectures him about finding a better balance but instead he goes to Damo for drugs. Irene and Marilyn prove that hell is well-meaning friends by giving Roo a list of dos and don'ts before her date with James, resulting in her coming across as rude and standoffish, then John has to stop them gatecrashing. They do partly redeem themselves by getting the pair together, resulting in their first kiss while the two busybodies watch from hiding. Zac thinks he's doing Leah a favour by getting $50,000 into debt, and only Charlotte knows the truth as he lies that he's had an inheritance.—skteosk
- Studying his tail of non-stop for a good university posting, Josh duly looses his patience with the girls constantly playing along with Matt's goofy 'breaks' and shenanigans, yet lets Evie lecture him and ends up spilling coffee over his laptop and desperately accepts a senior's offer to buy 'study pills'. Determined John failing to keep Marilyn and Irene away from James's first dinner date with Roo, she messes it up, yet he still seals a second date with a first kiss. Zac tells Leah he 'inherited' the $50,000 he got from a loan-shark, so she thinks they can get married and keep her diner share; Charlotte finds out and promises to keep silent.—KGF Vissers
