Lenny prays for the soul of Dussolier, and sister Mary bitterly laments the death of her former pupil. Lenny calls Sophia, who advises him to visit the famous mission center in Africa. To everyone's surprise, the Pope agrees. During his journey, the press unsuccessfully tries to talk to Lenny, and tells Voiello that Curtwell may have been blackmailing the pontiff. In Africa, the Pope has conflicting feelings about the activities of Sister Anthonia, but his attempt at recognition is interrupted when a local priest hands him a revealing note. Now, carefully observing the injustices, Lenny is giving an inspirational speech.
