I always liked Lindsey Ellis as an internet review personality, her style of reviewing and discussing stuff came off as quietly smart and confident and non-pretentious and she never took the loud and wacky route that Doug Walker as the Nostalgia Critic has often gone with. Her series as the Nostalgia Chick was great too but it ran it's course and she knew when to bow out, and as far as web series go she seems to have moved on to this show, which I find to be a greatly entertaining and informative series of visual essays that has Lindsey talking about the history and different chapters and incarnations of the same character over the years, be it a fictional, fantasy, or true life historical or modern figure. She covers pretty much every aspect of the subjects, from their earliest beginnings to what they by and large mean to the world today. As a show it's very different to what Nostalgia Chick was but it's great to see Lindsey still doing something like this, and the episodes are very entertaining, she gives a great exploration of every topic and is to me a very engaging and knowledgeable host and I hope she keeps making these for a while, I liked them a lot ever since I saw the first episode.
