No more than a curiosity

This movie was on TV recently so I watched it in the hope it might be an interesting story given the Coronavirus context. I was to be sadly disappointed.

Poor acting, poor script, no real laughs. Nothing really going for it at all.

The main character is generally obnoxious, and impossible to like. The epidemiologist, totally unbelievable (compare her to those we have all seen on TV over the last 18 months or so!).

I strongly recommend giving it a big miss.

Strained!

Warning: Spoilers
This was so amateurish and strained it was bordering on unbearable!

The other two reviews here are obviously friends or relatives of the actors or director!

Ok, the bloke in lockdown, his over enunciation and the delivery of his lines is so so bad, cringeworthy in fact!

His decent into abject boredom and semi insanity after only 10 days of lockdown is laughable, seriously you have zero compassion for him and actually hope some domestic tragedy befalls him!

In light of the current restrictions people are enduring, all this film does is make you want to scream, "shut up you whinging self indulgent clown"!!!!!!!!

Do not watch this movie unless you get enjoyment from wanting to punch your own tellie.

Heart-warming comedy

A really unique and hilariously funny Australian film with great performances from leads Charles Cottier and Kathryn Beck who have undeniable chemistry.

The topical subject of living with a deadly virus means it's not all slapstick though and contains some genuinely moving scenes and reflections on mortality, love and life.

The film has an intelligent script and the cinematography inside a confined space (most of the film is shot in one location) gives it a claustrophobic feeling akin to 12 Angry Men.

A thoroughly enjoyable and well-made film!

The writing was intelligent, witty and refreshing and the acting compelling and the timing and delivery comedic genius. I don't know what I was expecting, but this was the best Australian film I've seen in years. Making covid funny is quite an accomplishment so well done.
