It was funny and that is it's biggest strength, and the point of it, it was a comedy minisode and it pulled it off spectacularly. River Song's criticisms of the Doctor's "plan" are constantly hilarious and brilliant and the Doctor's belief that everything will be tickerty-boo is equally brilliant as well.
