The ignorance of how they portrayed the landowners to be towards oil and gas is possibly right on... however the ignorance of the writers of this movie who don't understand a lick about the oil and gas industry and how it's used in literally everything is impeccable. Main character Alexis and supporting actress Madeline Vail

Alexis and Madeline were natural actresses and definitely portrayed their character well. Catherine Bach was natural as well.
For the life of me, I can't understand why the big strong stallion horse had such a whimpy voice. Throws off the entire premise of the storyline.
The other actors/actresses needed more coaching. The mean school girls however did succeed the goal of making me dislike them.
I'm glad Alexis was nominated/awarded. She and Madeline carried the movie. I plan to search other movies these two actresses are in to see if they are of interest. Only seven stars because the producers could have done a better job seeing the issues.
