- TriviaThe border crossing scene was shot at a real border crossing in Tijuana that is no longer in use. The show was granted special permission by the Mexican government to fire guns at this location.
- GoofsThe scenes just after Travis, Maddy and Alicia leave the hotel show a full moon setting on the Pacific. A full moon setting in the west would only happen within the last hour or so of night. Yet, they eventually arrive at the supermarket in full dark some time later. Also, in one scene as they're driving north along the coast, the setting full moon is ahead of them, just west of north. In Baja, the moon would be much more to their left, toward the west.
- Quotes
[Luciana tells Alejandro that he failed his people]
Luciana: [in Spanish] Did you think that this day might happen? That this day might come?
Alejandro: [in Spanish] This is the only home we have. Beyond these walls there is only death and more death. I did what I could to keep us together. I tried to save us.
Luciana: [in Spanish] Well, you failed.
Alejandro: [in Spanish] Nick's right. This is ending.
Luciana: [in Spanish] Not for us. Only for you. Lie to them again before you go.
- ConnectionsFeatured in Talking Dead: Wrath/North (2016)
Well, after a first couple of seasons where the shows ranged from "pretty good" to "meh", the finale delivered a home run that puts it squarely in the territory among the best episodes of "The Walking Dead." Action, complex characters, and just the ability to pull in the viewer to where you are REALLY 100% engaged is what this episode provided for me. I cared about what was happening on the screen. I emotionally felt for the characters. I enjoyed the "gags" of new ways of killing the dead and clever ways of staying alive.
This episode for me was really to first that moved me, and at the end of the day proved to be an incredibly enjoyable two hour ride of television. And thanks to this episode, I am now engaged enough with this show that I can't wait for the next season. For meeting (and in some ways exceeding) my sky-high expectations that were cemented by the original "The Walking Dead", I give this particular episode of "Fear" a 10.
