I did not rate this movie a 9 or a 10 for one reason only: the subtitles were not left long enough on the shot to be fully read. Extremely frustrating. Viewers need a moment to see the screen, then read the text, and then go back to the screen, and these lines were flashed far too short a time. I loved the movie and know I lost a lot by the distraction of first missing info, then the attempts to speed read. Truly, it detracted a lot from the film. One line that I especially loved, spoken by the mother: "Life is too short to live it like this." Not sure I will find another opportunity to view this film (I had seen it at a women's film festival), but I would watch it repeatedly, given the opportunity, just to be certain I missed nothing, and then at least one time to simply feel it as it unfolds.
