Okay, S2 starts off with Niska at some dance / nightclub. She's changed her hair from blonde to red it appears. Oh she's in Berlin. And she is picked up by a German woman and goes walking with her after. Oh okay Niska goes home with the woman and experiments with making out with her. And I guess they go all the way! Oh wait, Niska took her to her own house. And apparently Niska is curious about being gay for women. Niska starts asking questions about how the woman became interested in other women. Interesting.
In other parts of the world, it appears that certain synths are suddenly becoming, AWARE. A mine worker in bolivia suddnely leaves the mine. Another plant worker in Nottingham suddenly tries to escape the plant, albeit violently.
Meanwhile, the Hawkins have apparently moved into a new home. And Joe and Laura are also seeing a couples counselor A counselor who is a synth!.
And Max and Leo , are they activating these synths??? Oh Max says it is someone else introducing code into these synths. And also the Bolivia synth he showed up too. How did he get to England? Weird. He says he hid on ships and lorries to get there. So 2 trackers show up at that exact moment, they say they are doctors sent to being back the Hester synth. Leo and MAX on the run again, and are confronted by 2 more goons with tasers. Hester and Bolivia synth take out the 2 goons, but theres a nearby sniper who headshots the Bolivia synth. Leo, Max and Hester make their escape in the goons Van.
Mia is again hiding and posing as Anita. She almost messes up when she 'helps' her owner with some computations she does to help him keep his business.
Joe, goes to work to find out his position is being replaced by a synth. This is obviously what would really happen to society if such creations such as synths were really created. Good luck having a job anywhere!

Okay so Dr. Athena Morrow, played by Carrie Anne Moss, great to see her again, she is some big time AI mind who is working with AI but really doesn't like the synth creation much. She is recruited by obviously some wealthy AI guy, Milo Khoury, to work with synths. So Morrow is introduced to Artie, a synth who says he can now 'feel'.
The Hawkins family back as a whole unit again at the dinner table, discusses what they have experienced and what they have gained and lost as a family. Joe also tells the family he just got sacked and replaced by a synth.
And then at 430am their doorbell rings! It's Niska!!!! Niska says she wants to face justice for killing the man she killed, but she wants to face justice with equal human rights as a conscious being, as a human.
