This is a truly great episode about how important it is to accept and embrace change. The reason being because change leads to growth and if you refuse to change as the world changes around you than you will never grow up. That is not to say that change is easy or fun especially the transition between middle school and high school since high school is the first step towards actually being an adult and that means as fun as it might be and as much as you might want to you can't just stay a kid forever. It is however necessary to change in order to fully become who you are meant to be. As far as the idea of change goes this episode did a fantastic job using changing the bay window as a metaphor for the change the kids were facing in their lives and how scary those changes can be. It also presented the valuable lesson of "Your safe place is us." which showed the value of true friendships and that you can always count on your friends to be there to help and protect you when you are scared or unsure how to face the changes in your world.
