Senior couple Peter and Grace Carson go mission while their world cruise visits Casablanca. The FBI team arrives amid jurisdiction quarrels between port and shipping company security and takes charge under Moroccan police officer Salah Sabila's authority. They trace the kidnapping to market salesman Hassan's textile shop but soon realize by the time ransom above the family's means -which the airhead daughter still wants to pay- is asked, like seemingly unrelated cases in other North African countries, it must be the work of a nomadic tribal gang. Indeed the Carsons are held by Touareg brothers, who bicker as their motive changes meaning and urgency.
