Poorly made oral sex video, inadvertently educational
lor_30 September 2015
I'm a long time Anglophile, having discovered Judi Dench way back in 1968 on TV in "Talking to a Stranger", making her my favorite actress then and there. British folkways and argot remain obscure to us Yanks, so this rather lousy XXX video is redeemed only by its peek into an odd foreign subculture.

I had never heard of dogging, an obscure British outdoor sex pastime documented by the porn website Killergram, which yields this series of compilation videos from their new UK Porn Kings label. It is basically going to an obscure rural area or more urban car park and getting a blow job from some skanky woman -hardly the stuff dreamy films are made of.

(NOTE: I have seen "dogging" referred to in America recently in a Showtime series which apparently misrepresents the phenomenon entirely, pretending that it is merely sex in public using Social Media to arrange the meet-up in some remote parking lot with minimal warning (so the cops won't show up). As depicted in this gee-whiz TV segment hosted by an alarmingly untalented host/"sex researcher" named Sunny Megatron, the notion of Dogging has entirely lost its meaning and raison d'etre in the recent trip across the Atlantic to our unenlightened shores.)

Our unseen host, manning the camera and keeping up a stupid but steady line of patter, calls himself Don "Dogger" Roobles and is apparently an old hand at this. One is reminded of the famous anecdote about the guy who cleans up after the elephants in the circus and is offered a straight-life job, his answer: "What, and give up show business?".

So this enterprise, somewhat beyond the outer limits of what I defined as show biz back when I was a reporter for Variety newspaper, is interesting in its strangeness, almost making the viewer feel like Margaret Mead first setting foot in Papua or New Guinea. The blokes' faces are not shown, though a couple are briefly seen by accident due to Don's sloppy videography.

The women are skanky enough, though porn professionals Logan Montoya and the ultra-busty Brit Porn veteran (calls herself a 32-K) Jo Hadfield (billed as Josaphine James) are on hand, so to speak. The guys gather around in the darkness, seen from midriff-down, wanking off, and the girls either put rubbers on their dicks or not, before fellatio, apparently an optional factor that is left unexplained. 21st Century oral porn with condoms on cocks is ridiculous but here it is.

One of the bosomy girls, a short-short blonde named Summer Angel, is rather pathetic, reminding me of a central-casting Kitchen Sink era loser with a great big smile on her pan as she embarrasses herself. Her presence made me wonder if these girls are porn actresses not very choosy in their roles (quite an understatement) or whores. In fact, watching this desultory program further blurs the distinction between porn acting and prostitution, though it seemingly is just a pro-am production.

Technical credits are poor, and carelessness is the name of the game. Don the dogger-wrangler reminded me a bit of the Laurence Harvey sleazy character so indelibly memorable from "Espresso Bongo" but what he has to say, including insulting some of the poor male "talent" is just drivel. Oddest moments come during the cheerful Jo Hadfield segment, in which four or five guys ejaculate prematurely on her breasts (or the ground), so taken with her hugeness popping out of her corset. Poor Don and Jo have about 10 minutes left to fill and their search for another dogger in the neighborhood is documentary material that should give Michael Moore inspiration for another movie project, less controversial than usual for him but certainly hornier.

NOTE: End credits erroneously list this title as British Sluts Love Dogging 2 (packaging correctly says 4), but volume 2 stars a different cast including Stacey Lacey.
