The Shivering Isles is an expansion for Oblivion. But it's so much more. If anyone wants to play oblivion for the first time, get the game of the year edition. This expansion is a must have. You enter into a daedric realm formed and ruines by madness. Giant mushrooms, scary creatures, weird and delicate people live here, with hot daedra babes acting as it's guards. The God of madness and insanity runs the realm. I loved the storyline in this DLC. the whole Sheogorath/Jyggalag thing was intresting. This DLC adds a lot of cool gear to the game too. You can access the DLC anytime you want. As soon as you complete the Tutorial the DLC is there. There are also actual choices that influence gameplay in the story. Regular Oblivion lacked this other than a few quests. Shivering Isles is the perfect add on to Oblivion. Knights of the Nine is good but not as good as this. Bethesda has yet to make another DLC to top this one.
