What focus means to me: a way to think about the desired outcome, all the way through the action(s) taken to get the desired outcome. The full plan was not in focus, just the thought, even though I felt the idea was pretty good. Nonetheless, it didn't go as they desired because it wasn't focused as their desired outcome. The outcome changed because of their lack of focused follow-through on the initial intent of the desire, to stay focused all the way through the action(s) to complete the intent. Most of us just have thoughts, and carry on with the action before focusing on the desired outcomes. That's why things may not go as planned. One must focus all the way through to the desired outcome, which includes the action(s) that are taken to cause the desired outcome. In my own opinion, the friend should have never been in control of that situation. Friends can get us in trouble if we don't have our own control over our desired outcomes. Beware of others taking control over your own situations!
