It looks like the epic battle between Goku and Beerus has finally ended. I can't help but compare this to how it was handled in "Dragonball Z: Wrath Of Gods". In that version, Beerus says that he'll come back later to destroy the Earth. This time, he merely gets tired and falls asleep before he can finish the job. Well, Whis claims that he was just pretending, but Beerus claims he really did fall asleep. One of my favorite parts from the movie was Goku mentioning how Vegeta really did go nuts when Bulma was hurt. We again realize that Goku was there for awhile and more or less let the other characters get pummeled.
Vegeta even says he doesn't want to become a God as it requires him to use energy from other Saiyans. I love seeing Emperor Pilaf and his henchmen leave too. It's a pity they never got to make jokes about Mai's relationship with Trunks, but I believe that does develop later on. For now, there were a lot of things happening here. Yes, it is pretty interesting to see Goku lose a fight. Well, he's not physically beaten that badly at least. Glad to see a saga send, sort of. ***1/2
