Peeters gets out because it is evident from his recall that he didn't kill Drummer. He comes back to his lover with his daughter. They set up housekeeping and things go pretty well. But Peeters can't let the case go. The events that unfold show that he needs lots of help. The temper is still there. I have to say that the final solution was awfully contrived. I won't mess with the result, only to say that there is some really coincidental stuff that needs to be taken at face value. Anyway, to evaluate the series, it was quite captivating and held my interest throughout.
