These people were found by locating their descendants and reverting back down their ancestral line, Lister points out Hitler had no children. Another pod is found belonging to a Professor Shaul Telford, but he is out of his pod and wheelchair bound, he introduces the crew to the patients over dinner, the crew find the experience quite unsettling socializing with infamous people acting friendly.

Lister gets loose and finds Kryten's body and his head, Cat is freed from the tank and Rimmer is retrieved from a waste disposal box. They head back to the stasis pods and find the Professor unconscious. The patients walk in having looked for the missing crew, the crew doesn't trust them believing them still uncured, Kryten suggests a mind scan for traces of psychopathy, results come in and Cat is deemed a psychopath having all the characteristics.
The scanner feeds out more results, the other psychopath is Professor Telford, he walks in, his disability was a ruse and he presses a button on a remote making all the patients walk out in a robotic manner, they were droids. Telford is a psychopath and was the only patient, all the others were the doctors attempting to cure him, Telford reprogrammed them. He tried to escape on Starbug but couldn't start the engines, only the crew know the ignition sequence, Telford only needs one of them to help him, he chooses Cat because of his psychopathy, cats have no loyalty to anyone but themselves.
