Nick grouses to Matt about being turned down by Dr. Sigrid Vorst, and he recounts his poor track record with lab workers. Phyllis informs an incredulous Gary that she destroyed the inventory documents which could have proved fraudulent activity in the company. Gary reluctantly agrees to give Phyllis his power of attorney after she informs him that it was protocol established by his father. Later, as he learns to use a walker, Gary asks Nick if he could possibly have a setback in his recovery. Nick and Matt wonder why Phyllis would want Gary to sign over power of attorney when Gary's full recovery seems certain.
