New Delhi, Feb 2 (Ians) In yet another big leak, personal data of at least 26 lakh Airtel users -- nearly all belonging to Jammu and Kashmir -- have been hacked and are being sold for $3500 in Bitcoin on the web, independent cyber security researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told Ians on Tuesday.
The data of Airtel customers contain telephone numbers, addresses, Aadhaar numbers and other details, according to the screenshots and a video shared by Rajaharia.
"The hacker had access to the data and wanted to sell them, but could not succeed. Hence he dumped the data on the internet," Rajaharia claimed, adding the data may also have been leaked from any third-party source and not Airtel.
According to Rajaharia, the hacker who goes by the name of Red Rabbit Team, uploaded the details of Airtel users in January and aimed to "extort money" from the telecom giant.

I did a double take when I saw the headline myself. Despite only launching a week ago, a not inconsiderable number of titles will be leaving HBO Max at the end of June. Logically, distribution contracts that were already running out weren’t going to stop running out just because Warner launched their new service, so you best get on these quick.
Here’s the list of all the movies leaving HBO Max on June 30th:
The Abyss
Akeelah and the Bee
American Wedding
An Ideal Husband
Arthur
Asylum
The Beverly Hillbillies
The Big Green
Blindspotting
Bye Bye, Love
Empire of the Sun
Glengarry Glen Ross
Grandma’s Boy
Great Expectations
A Handful of Dust
Head Full of Honey
Heaven & Earth
Hellboy
The Hoax
I Love You Phillip Morris
Indignation
Jiminy Glick in Lalawood
Jobs
Johnny English
Keeping Up with the Steins
Kin

HBO Max launched on May 27th and has been off to a pretty good start with well over 10,000 hours worth of content on the service from day one. If you’re a horror fan, you may be excited to hear that a fairly decent portion of those 10,000 hours include some of the biggest and most popular horror films of all time. So, if you haven’t subscribed yet, now might just be the time to do so.
Do you like Steven Spielberg and massive sharks eating people? If so, you’ll be delighted to hear that you can catch the entire Jaws franchise – which spans four films – on HBO Max right away. If you haven’t ever seen them, now’s a great opportunity to take a trip back in time to catch up on what was arguably the very first blockbuster movie series.

The series includes eight episodes, each of which focuses on the more nefarious parts of the internet. Episode titles include: "Eat. Prey. Love.," "Rideshare," "Zero," "Blackheart," and "Viral." As well, directors of the series range from: Roxy Shih (The Tribe) to Zelda Williams ("Dead of Summer") and Mario Miscione. This film fan is excited to see writer Christopher Webster's writing work on "Hacked." Webster has been a long time contributor on the horror and sci-fi site Quiet Earth, found here. More details on this upcoming release are hosted below. The Dark Web series also hosts a huge cast. At first blush, Reverie appeared to be a beneficial idea, whether a client used it for escapism or therapy.
But more of the dark side of the Reverie program became apparent to Mara on Reverie Season 1 Episode 4.
Now we learned about dark Reveries, which are apparently a thing on, yup, you guessed it, the Dark Web.
So there are limitations about what can and can't be included in a Reverie. Paul's explanation about that was fairly vague, but it's encouraging to know there are rules.
Glenn Maybach bought the stolen Bci to steal an experimental drug for his young, dying neighbor. That seems like a selfless act to me. He was doing this for the greater good. How does that qualify as a dark Reverie?
Glenn was a winning character. He struggled with agoraphobia and compulsions. Yet the coder wanted to find a way to help out Liz, to whom he felt attracted,...

The Sundance hit Searching won’t be the only thriller taking place entirely on a computer screen this summer. Following its initial premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival earlier this year, Blumhouse Tilt and Universal has now released the first trailer for Unfriended: Dark Web. The film is a follow up to the 2014 shocker Unfriended, which found surprising praise for its clever delivery.
Dark Web tells the story of a group of friends participating in a laid-back game night on Skype; however, when Matias (Unsane’s Colin Woodell) reveals that he is using a stolen laptop that he found in a café, the laptop’s mysterious owner joins the group of friends. From here, the fatally twisted turn of events becomes inevitable. Alongside Colin Woodell, the cast includes Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Mindy Project), Chelsea Alden, and Betty Gabriel.
Stephen Susco, who scripted 2004’s The Grudge, makes his directorial debut with Dark Web.

"That looked way too real..." Universal has released a trailer for horror sequel Unfriended: Dark Web, produced by Blumhouse, the follow-up to the computer screen horror movie Unfriended from 2014. Being marketed as "the most terrifying horror yet", the film unfolds in real-time on computer screens, following a guy and his friends who discover something nefarious on his new computer. He "discovers that the previous owner is not only watching him, but will also do anything to get it back." The cast includes Betty Gabriel, Andrew Lees, Colin Woodell, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Connor Del Rio, Chelsea Alden, Savira Windyani, and Stephanie Nogueras. I much prefer the computer screen film Searching over this. They try so hard to make it horrific that it all comes across phony. If you're into this kind of horror, check it out. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Stephen Susco's Unfriended: Dark Web, from YouTube:...

After a festival run during the first half of this year, Unfriended: Dark Web is heading to theaters this July. Rather than following the supernatural setting of the first film, Dark Web takes a very grounded approach to the horror this time around:
"Unfolding in real-time Unfriended: Dark Web is the most terrifying horror yet from the producer of Get Out, Happy Death Day and The Purge, and the makers of Unfriended.
When a 20-something finds a cache of hidden files on his new laptop, he and his friends are unwittingly thrust into the depths of the dark web. They soon discover someone has been watching their every move and will go to unimaginable lengths to protect the dark web."
Written and directed by Stephen Susco, the movie stars Betty Gabriel, Colin Woodell, Andrew Lees and Connor Del Rio. Unfriended: Dark Web will be released to theaters on July 20th.

“Unfriended” only cost $1 million to make and grossed $64 million, which is to say that a sequel was inevitable. Blumhouse has delivered three years later, with “Unfriended: Dark Web” premiering at South by Southwest a few months back. Watch the found-footage horror film’s first trailer below.
“Dark Web” concerns a teenager (Colin Woodell) who learns that his new laptop may have been stolen — and that its previous owner is watching his every move. In his SXSW review, IndieWire’s Eric Kohn wrote that the film — which, like its predecessor, takes place entirely on a desktop computer — “manages to turn the same gimmick into another jittery ride” and predicted that more “desktop thrillers” will be arriving soon.
Stephen Susco makes his directorial debut with the film after priving his horror bona fides by writing “The Grudge,” “The Grudge 2,” and “Texas Chainsaw 3D.” Betty Gabriel of “Get Out” and Rebecca Rittenhouse...

Ann Coulter has fired back at Joy Reid over a series of newly resurfaced tweets from the early 2010s in which the MSNBC anchor joked about “that Coulter dude.”
Speaking to TheWrap, Coulter sidestepped Reid’s old online taunts but questioned the MSNBC host’s standing to speak about black issues in the United States since the MSNBC host’s parents immigrated from Congo and British Guiana.
“I think MSNBC would be better off hiring an African American with roots in this country, instead of a 2d generation immigrant who poses as the oppressed descendant of American slaves,” Coulter said.

Reid has taken heavy flak over the last week after Mediaite reporter Caleb Ecarma revealed transgender jokes and other content attacking Lgbt individuals on Twitter and on Reid’s long-defunct blog “The Reid Report” which predates her time at MSNBC.
The latest was a series of tweets from 2010 and 2011 about Coulter, falsely suggesting that the conservative firebrand and best-selling author “is a dude.”

The MSNBC anchor said this week many of the new posts that have recently surfaced were fabricated and also suggested, without substantiation, that hackers somehow managed to tamper with the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine to deliberately add embarrassing content to her old blog.
“In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology,” Reid told TheWrap in a statement.
The Internet archive disputed that claim in a blog post on Tuesday, saying that while Reid’s lawyers had demanded the old material be taken down, the website could find no evidence of hacking.

“When we reviewed the archives, we found nothing to indicate tampering or hacking of the Wayback Machine versions. At least some of the examples of allegedly fraudulent posts provided to us had been archived at different dates and by different entities,” said Chris Butler, the Director of Open Libraries at the Internet Archive.
Though MSNBC began circulating a statement from a cybersecurity expert attesting to Reid’s position, many said the tampering that Reid has claimed would be impossible given how the Archive worked.
“The Wayback Machine captured these posts at or near the time they were posted – over ten years ago. For this account to make sense, someone would have had to access Reid’s blog with Dark Web credentials, then travel back in time,” said BuzzFeed’s Joe Bernstein.

The controversy over Reid’s social media commentary first began last year when Mediaite dug up old blog posts from Reid mocking then-Florida governor Charlie Crist, repeating speculation that he was a closeted homosexual — which he has repeatedly denied.
Reid apologized for those posts in a statement to TheWrap and Crist himself said it was water under the bridge.

This year’s SXSW Film Festival kept this writer plenty busy, with a ton of great genre movies that were part of their Midnighters programming slate, and in many cases, there were even some that screened outside the genre-friendly section. Here are my thoughts on a terror-filled trinity of films that I had the opportunity to check out while in Austin over the last week: Colin Minihan’s surprising psychological thriller What Keeps You Alive, the newly revealed sequel Unfriended: Dark Web, and Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman’s Ghost Stories.
What Keeps You Alive: Last year, Colin Minihan really impressed me with his unusual zombie effort, It Stains the Sands Red, and less than 12 months later, he left my proverbial jaw on the floor with What Keeps You Alive, a shocking and intimately crafted thriller that effectively proves you can never really know everything about the people you love.

Over the weekend, Unfriended: Dark Web, the somewhat secret sequel to Unfriended, enjoyed its world premiere during the 2018 SXSW Film Festival in Austin. With the original film screening took place here just a few years back, it only seemed right that Dark Web would do the same, and Daily Dead had the opportunity to sit down with two of the creative forces behind the sequel, producer Timur Bekmambetov and writer/director Stephen Susco, as well as Dark Web co-star Colin Woodell, whose character Matias ends up triggering some very disturbing events after he steals a laptop and gets mixed up in a deadly game that could cost the lives of himself and everyone he loves.

A classic horror trope: Secure, private spaces can be infiltrated by dreadful forces and when danger lurks in showers, bedrooms, and suburban neighborhoods, nothing’s really safe. Filmmakers inevitably came for the computer screen and that was 2014’s “Unfriended,” a new-age found-footage horror movie unfolding exclusively on a desktop screen. The unexpected commercial hit found a group of friends dealing with a ghostly threat over frantic Skype conversations and Facebook chats, reinventing old chills for the social media age. Made on the cheap and plugged into a millennial vernacular, it was only a matter of time before there was a sequel.
