Mitigating the damage . . .
Mr-Fusion16 June 2017
. . . in the form of Philip trying to patch things up with Stan, the Jennings urging their daughter to make up with Pastor Tim, and tiptoeing around Martha, who might be under surveillance. It's another installment of continued force upon Philip's and Elizabeth's cover, ever in question.

And a terrific exercise in slow-burn tension. Paige is effectively an asset to be worked by her parents in order to keep the ship afloat. That alone is kinda perverse and nerve-wracking enough, but there also doesn't appear to be any release in store for them, either. It's gripping stuff.

Strong high pressure episode

Phillip and Elizabeth speak to Pastor Tim, whilst surveillance increases around Martha.

This is another very strong episode in which the amount of tension created actually gave me a headache.

The plot is focused on the situations with Paige and Martha, but the brutal event of the previous episode hangs above everything like a particularly dark nimbostratus cloud. Everything that happens in relation to the above characters contains heightened sense of danger. Thank god for characters like Henry and the recently introduced Young-Hee Seong who are the rays of sunlight that break through the clouds and give us the necessary relief in the midst of so much pressure.....

'Pressure.... pushing down on me, pressing down on you.....' Great soundtrack as always on this episode, the visuals and general production values are great.

All performances continue to be top drawer, particularly Boris Krutonog, Noah Emmerich and Alison Wright.

For me it's an 8.5/10 but I round upwards
