Nathan helps a restaurant gain recognition by having a celebrity leave a huge tip. He auditions celebrity impersonators and they chose a man to act as Michael Richards from Seinfeld. In order for the tip to look legitimate, Nathan would have to find someone named Michael Richards and use their bank card.
He decides to pay someone $1,000 to legally change their name to Michael Richards. To do this, he hires a ghost writer to circulate a fake newspaper, stating the name change required by law. After four issues have been published, his name is legally changed and he opens up a bank account under the name Michael Richards.
Nathan finds out he has a criminal history and handcuffs himself to him while the $10,000 is in the account. He gives the Michael Richards impersonator the bank card and they pull off the rehearsed transaction. The story gains press coverage and the restaurant gets a boost in service.
This is a great start to the new season. Nathan pulls off a few elaborate plans that have both hilarious and awkward moments. The ghost writer is one of my favorite appearances on the show and he doesn't disappoint.
