During one take as they were headed off to the Hortensia armory, Karen David (Isabella) was knocked backward by Stanley Townsend (Isabella's father) when he stepped on the train of her dress. Townsend instinctively grabbed David to steady her and prevent her from falling to the ground, and after a moment they both realized he was still firmly clutching her... by the breasts. She started giggling and exclaimed, "Oh, daddy!" Townsend was so embarrassed that he had difficulty getting through the rest of the day.
When they come upon the crossroads sign post, one of the destinations is The Grove. Sid exclaims, "The Grove has great shops and an apple store!" This very-regional joke is a reference to a shopping complex in Los Angeles named The Grove at Farmers Market.
"Time is of the Essence" is a nod to the famous patter song "Modern Major-General" from the musical The Pirates of Penzance
When Sid, Richard, and Roberta are deciding where to take Galavant to be healed, one of the signs points toward the Red Keep. This is in keeping with the show's habit of sneaking in Game of Thrones references. The Red Keep is one of the destinations in Game of Thrones.
The line about being mostly dead is also slightly alive is a nod to The Princess Bride
