This you gotta see....

Jason Schappert and his crew have put together an epic documentation of how general aviation pilots get out of, and can get back into, the cockpit. This movie is for pilots by pilots, but has so much more to offer, even for the non aviation enthusiast. The camera views are breathtaking and the story lines are genuine. The pilots in this documentary range from private pilots to certificated flight instructors that have stopped flying for reasons ranging from lack of finances to personal tragedy. If you are a rusty pilot, or just curious about general aviation, this is a must see for you. Even if you are not into planes and flight, Flying Again will inspire you to reach for your goals and become the best that you can be. The stories of the rusty pilots in this movie and input from aviation experts and leaders brings to light the need for pilots to realize their dreams of getting back in the cockpit and inspires them to do so. Give this one a look, you'll be glad you did.

Inspirational!

This film is inspirational! Being a rusty pilot, you can feel alone or like you have done something wrong. Flying Again follows pilots of all ages and experience levels. Hearing their stories makes you feel like you can get back in to the cockpit! The film focuses on the difference between being current and being proficient. It is nice to know that even CFI's can be rusty. This film will motivate anyone to get back in to the cockpit and fall in love with aviation again! The film takes a close look at technology in the cockpit. The message is to focus on flying first and then add the technology later. This film was filmed in locations all over The United State. See what it is like to fly at the highest airport in the US or fly from a small island grass strip in Florida.

Watch, Do, Have Fun

"Flying Again" is meant to get rusty pilots back in the sky. Listening and seeing people in aviation from many backgrounds adds to the total experience of this movie. It's premise is "Flying is Fun," and shows why pilots return to the sky. Watching each story is pure joy. Shot in many locations of the United States with pilots of varying skills, "Flying Again" shows the rusty pilot the way back to being a good pilot. The writing seems natural and there are some really good lines (ad libs I'm sure). The photography shows patience and a willingness to show flying from many angles. Inside the cockpit, outside on wings, from the ground and from other airplanes. Even waiting for sunrises and sunsets, plus blue skies and green fields all make this a first class movie. Flying is one of the really great hobbies that makes one feel pure joy. Watch the movie...find a CFI and get flying again. Have fun!

I love this movie and you will too!

I have been a pilot for 30 years and 9 of those years as a CFI/II. From the beginning of the movie to the end I got goosebumps 10 times. This story of Rusty Pilots hits home in every pilot, no matter what and where they are flying. Each of the Rusty Pilots has a story that we can all relate to but the movie also brings out wonderful emotions in us all. The pilots cover all ages from young to not so young. The time away from the cockpit of the airplane also has a huge variety. The audience gets a chance to learn about flying and hopefully a little about themselves. The flying scenes are pure, real and enlivening. This is a must see for all pilots. The music is wonderful, but the most awesome part of this story is about our passion and love of flying and aviation. We all wish we can fly and now we have a chance to see the story behind the story. We are allowed a glimpse and understanding into some fantastic people who love to fly. Larry M. Great! Entertaining, educational, and informative all while creating a feeling of inspiration to pursue "Flying Again." As a self-described "Rusty Pilot" I became immersed in this movie from the moment I pushed play. The production team presents a wide variety of pilots with different backgrounds and personalities as well as overall flight experience. Each pilot has a different reason or reasons to have becoming "Rusty" with flying but watching them relearn flight skills in the movie makes them all seem almost similar. They all have challenges and hurdles to overcome to "Fly Again" but when they do, they almost all have the same positive reactions. The way their individual stories were presented in this film created a feeling of inspiration within myself to get back into flying game! Thank You and Fantastic job!

Ready to get back in the Left Seat

It has been 4 years since I have last flown. Some beautiful video from beautiful locations. Even if your a current pilot, or have no desire to become a pilot, the stories and views are wonderful. Seeing Ariel Tweeto express her passion and reasons for getting back into flying was inspiring. The stories of the other pilots and how life gets in the way are similar to mine. Watching this has reignited my passion for aviation. I already made my appointment to get my medical current and then I'll be ready to book a flight to get my flight review completed. I'm looking forward to getting my family on a plane and take flying vacation. Sometimes, it's not the destination, it really is the trip getting there. Thanks for inspiring me to get back into flying.

Definitely Stirs the Desire to Fly Again

Pros

a. I really love the scenery and aerial footage - Spectacular!!!

b.Wide range of the type of "Rusty Pilot" Commentary: Each pilot was different and their stories very compelling. I truly like to various skill levels of each featured pilot.

c. The CFIs in this film were really great. I wished that ALL CFIs were like this.

Cons

a. Personally, I would have liked to have seen more emphasis on character development of the featured "Rusty Pilots".

b. The character development was a little fragmented for me. I wished that the pilots each introduced in their own segment. As soon as I felt a connection with one pilot, I was introduced to a different pilot almost immediately.

Commentary: I was truly INSPIRED by the last segment. You should do a follow-up feature on Matt Manzari's journey in aviation.

Thanks for letting me comment and review.
