Loons: Actually manages to be worse
Platypuschow9 April 2019
Sequel to Loon (2015) we see a continuation to the story, but did we really need one?

Ryan returns (Recast) to face his demons one more time as warring gangs seek dominance of Grave's former stomping ground. However one of the gangs has a more nefarious plan!

Credit where credit is due, it's nice to see them carrying on the story.

And that's literally all I can say in its credit. Loon (2015) was an embarrassing mess and here they've remarkably managed to make a worse film.

I'm immediately struggling to know where to start on this, everything across the board is poor. The acting is cringe inducing, the script is amateurish, the camerawork is more than shoddy and the few SFX they have are actually even further damaging to an already dire film.

With Hollywood films sequels tend to get gradually worse as the effort fades, people leave and the budget goes down. With independent movies you tend to see the opposite, budgets tend to go up and quality improves over time with experience. This right here is an exception to the rule.

Loons is cringe inducingly bad, the fact that there is a third movie and a spinoff raises all kinds of questions such as "Where are they making the money back on these?" "What have they got against the movie industry to make such travestys?" and "Why in the blue hell am I no doubt going to end up watching them?"

Awful stuff.

The Good:

Follows on from the original movie

Sierra McConell

The Bad:

Recasting

Awful dialogue and acting

Embarrassing effects

Some truly unforgivably bad cinematography
