If you are a fan of pub quizzes, and have a good knowledge of the news events in the world, entertainment, TV, film, music, sport, technology and science, politics and much more in the year gone by, then this is a great show to watch and have fun with. Hosted by Jimmy Carr, with celebrity panellists in three teams: Rob Brydon and Jo Brand, Richard Ayoade and Greg Davies, and David Mitchell and Claudia Winkleman. This quiz focused on the year 2015, with all sorts of questions to answer about the past twelve months. These questions are asked as they are, with video and sound clips, with pictures (including Say What You See), and by celebrity and mystery guests on screen or in the studio, so it really does feel like a proper quiz that you can take part in. Events in the year 2015 that were questioned and joked about, and mentioned (or pictured) included: evidence of liquids on Mars, Queen Elizabeth II beating the record of Queen Victoria becoming the longest serving British monarch (23,226 days), Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rob Brydon performing with Sir Tom Jones, Travel Man, the hottest year on record, UKIP leader Nigel Farage failing to win a parliamentary seat, Oscar Pistorius found guilty of murder and put under house arrest, The Hatton Garden Heist (with criminals named Mr. Ginger, Mr. Strong, The Tall Man, The Old Man, The Gent and Mr. Montana), dentist Dr. Walter Palmer shooting a lion, Jeremy Clarkson punching a producer of Top Gear and being axed then getting a new show on Amazon Prime (The Grand Tour), David Cameron allegedly putting his penis into the mouth of a dead pig during university, Ed Miliband having a fan club called "Milifans", naked images of Justin Bieber on the internet, Ed Sheeran having a lion tattooed to his chest, Zayn Malik leaving One Direction, "Hotline Bling" by Drake, Kanye West at Glastonbury calling himself "the greatest living rock star on the planet", Enrique Iglesias having his fingers sliced by the blades of a drone, Jay-Z launching music streaming service Tidal, If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World, The Jump, Strictly Come Dancing, Humans, Wolf Hall, the final series of Peep Show, Doctor Who, Toast of London, The Hunt, Simply Nigella including cooking the underwhelming avocado on toast, Inside No. 9, Lord Grantham vomiting blood when his ulcer burst on Downton Abbey, Britain's Got Talent winners Jules O'Dwyer & Matisse controversially using a stunt dog during their final act, This Morning receiving 120 complaints about an article focusing on bondage during the release of the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, University Challenge contestant Carmel Shah wearing a leather vest, The Martian, Trainwreck, Mad Max: Fury Road, Back to the Future Day on October 21st 2015 (the time in the future in BTTF Part II), "Netflix and Chill" becoming a popular phrase, #leftshark trending on Twitter because of a backing dancer in a shark costume dancing out of time during the Katy Perry Super Bowl performance, the photo from Essex of a weasel riding on a woodpecker, Shabani the gorilla being called handsome, Kylie Jenner creating the online beauty craze "lip plumping", Wayne Rooney beating Bobby Charlton's record as top goal scorer with 50 goals, arrests after corruption at FIFA and Qatar awarded the World Cup, Usain Bolt at the World Athletics Championships tripped by a cameraman on a Segway, Tyson Fury becoming boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World, 7-year-old Ethan Hall singing the Australian National Anthem with hiccups, David Cameron giving the wrong name of the football team he supports, Britain's David Cup Victory, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's new baby Saint West, Donald Trump running for President, Lord Sewel secretly filmed wearing an orange bra and leather jacket, Shia LaBeouf filmed himself for three days watching all his movies back to back; The Edge, Madonna and Dave Grohl all falling off stage, the autobiography of Morrissey, new leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn having an unusual hobby for taking photographs of manhole covers, The Sun newspaper dropping Page 3, eating processed meats (bacon) claimed to be as bad as smoking, the trending of the "Dad Bod" physique (with Leonardo DiCaprio, Vin Diesel and Chris Pratt), Johnny Depp smuggling dogs into Australia illegally, the 5p plastic carrier bag charge for waste reduction, the ban of the Segway riding in public places, Spectre becoming the highest-grossing film of the year, Adele - 25 becoming the highest-selling album of the year, and The Great British Bake Off being the most watched TV show with 14 million viewers. Very good!
