This fun featurette has make-up master Greg Nicotero talking about some of his earliest work but the main focus is on PHANTASM II. The interview starts off with Nicotero discussing what he thought of the original PHANTASM and how he compared its special effects to those seen in THE EVIL DEAD. He then talks about what both of those film's sequels were able to do with a higher budget. From here Nicotero pretty much discusses the various special effects and how they were done. If you're a fan of PHANTASM II then there's no doubt that you'll enjoy this documentary that gives you a really good idea of what the working environment was on the set but also what all had to be done in order to get the special effects just right. Most of the memorable kill scenes are discussed in detail as Nicotero explains exactly what had to be done in order to make them work.
