Years of filming have brought together this 30 minute, three short stories on how a group of citizen, divers and scientist have come together to build and maintain artificial reefs as well as tackle the challenge of an invasive species. The first of the mini films covers the creation of artificial reefs. Learn the efforts it takes to prepare suitable objects for placement on the sea floor. The next mini film shows the efforts citizen and divers take to help maintain their offshore artificial reefs. As they head offshore with bags and shears, they pull fishing line, nets and more from the bottom of the sea floor and off structure in attempt to provide a safe environment for natural and native inhabitants as well as visiting divers from entanglement.
