[last lines]
Mike Dodds : Am I interrupting?
Amanda Rollins : Yeah.
Olivia Benson : No. Rollins and I are done.
[Rollins leaves, and Dodds shuts the door]
Olivia Benson : She just stood there and she lied to my face. And I don't know what to tell your father, because she swears that she didn't leak the video.
Mike Dodds : I believe her.
Olivia Benson : Why?
Mike Dodds : Because I know who did. Don't worry. It can't be traced.
Olivia Benson : What are you telling me?
Mike Dodds : I don't want to put you between me and my father, so you might want to stop asking questions.
Olivia Benson : Okay.
Mike Dodds : [turning to leave] Bobby D'Amico got what he deserved. Told you I never liked the guy.
-
Mike Dodds : [to Rollins] Why don't you clock out, go home?
Amanda Rollins : Why don't you stop telling me what to do, Sergeant?
-
Mike Dodds : [about Kristi's rape allegation] I know this looks bad.
Deputy Chief William Dodds : Bad? She's a train wreck.
Mike Dodds : Dad.
Olivia Benson : Look, she's not the most credible victim, but I definitely think something happened to her.
Rafael Barba : Probably a lot of things. It's a they-said, she-said. She changed her story and she went on dancing after the alleged assault.
Amanda Rollins : None of that means she wasn't raped.
Olivia Benson : Well, nobody's saying that.
Amanda Rollins : The Chief is, actually.
Deputy Chief William Dodds : [to Barba] Counselor.
Rafael Barba : Mm-hmm?
Deputy Chief William Dodds : If the jury sees an attention-seeking vlogger pull a TV star into the bathroom and then sees her partying ten minutes after she was supposedly raped, how would that play?
Rafael Barba : Not well.
Amanda Rollins : We've taken on tougher cases.
Rafael Barba : We have to pick our battles.
Dominick Carisi Jr. : Rollins, this girl's story is compromised.
Mike Dodds : All right, hold up. What if we find a pattern?
Rafael Barba : That's up to the lieutenant.
Deputy Chief William Dodds : Actually, it's up to me. There's a difference between proactivity and harassment.
Olivia Benson : Okay, so what do you propose that I say to this girl?
Deputy Chief William Dodds : Tell her we're sorry, but the D.A. won't move forward. Get her a ride home.
-
Rafael Barba : [after Rollins goes undercover to catch Bobby D'Amico & Noel Panko in the act] You used yourself as bait?
Amanda Rollins : Uh, yeah. Dodds said if we didn't catch these two in the act, then they were gonna walk.
Olivia Benson : Oh, so this was his idea? And now I have to hear from your father, the Deputy Chief, that two members of my squad went completely rogue on me.
Mike Dodds : We're here now. This is pretty damning video.
Rafael Barba : Except it's more prejudicial than probative, and they'd already invoked their right to counsel.
Dominick Carisi Jr. : All right, well, technically cops are not allowed to talk to them without their lawyers present, right? What if while the cops are illegally talking to them, they commit a crime?
Rafael Barba : That's fun question for a bar exam.
-
Deputy Chief William Dodds : I'll put in a call in to Bobby. See what he knows about this guy.
Dominick Carisi Jr. : You know Bobby D'Amico?
Deputy Chief William Dodds : Bobby's a friend of the department.
Mike Dodds : Translation: He bought the brass a lot of Nobu dinners when he was researching his part for Jack Byrnes.
Dominick Carisi Jr. : Ah, right, right. The morally-conflicted D.A.-turned bad boy rogue cop?
