This has probably been one of the best seasons of bates motel bar none in terms of writing and acting. I can't recall a previous season that has been quite as good as this one.
While nothing truly exceptional happened this episode, it still progressed the show in a very interesting direction. Each episode we see just how twisted and tortured Norman is truly becoming. I really liked the scene where he was threatening Romero's life with the axe. It provides us the viewers with a sense of just how far Norman has progressed into a sociopath and shows the tension b/w Romero and Norman now that Romero is intruding on Norman's relationship with his mother. The scene where Norman was spying on Norma through the peep hole was also very amusing and eerie.
With only two episodes left I'm really curious to see who Norman's next victim is going to be before the season is up. Is it going to be Romero? Is it going to be his brother Dylan? With all this being said I'm really excited to see the next episodes and to see how this great season concludes.
