Really interesting overview on what's, for many Chinese, the only holiday they get to enjoy in the whole year.

We're talkin about 20% of the world's population, taking a simultaneous break from their 996 (9 am to 9 pm work, 6 days/week) work routine, and travelling 2+ days on average to see their family once every year.

Really puts in perspective our life in Western countries.

One thing that Chinese repeat once and again in their celebrations and toasts is "Wealth". It seems money is deeply rooted in Chinese concept of social success. Not that is much different in Western culture, but it shows something about the Chinese people ambition to prosper and climb the socio-economic ladder. No wonder they usually dominate the trading activities in many foreign countries within Asia.

Overall, a really fascinating insight into a huge country that not many of us westerners have yet visited. China and India have 36% of the World's population vs. 4% in the US. Pretty obvious we're seeing just the beginning of the Chinese World's domination.
