All the actors in the production trained at Drama Centre London. They employed the 'Character Analysis' acting method to embody their characters, alike fellow DCL graduates Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy.
One of the main locations was former 'Clink Street Studios', a building above the infamous prison which in the late eighties served as home for the Acid House movement with the now legendary 'RiP' parties. The location was demolished the day after shooting was finalized, making 'Second Summer of Love' the last breath of Acid House in its historic birthplace.
