- The Doctor Ability allows Kirby throw pills at enemies. This is technically a drug reference because pills are drugs, but they are not used as such and are simple projectiles.
- Though it shouldn't be in this category, there are casino levels with large gambling items in the game. However, these are simply obstacles and are too large for any of the characters to use and no gambling is actually done.

- One of the game's main villains, President Haltmann has had his memories erased by a machine which almost killed his daughter. Later, the machine almost fully erases his soul from existence. In some (non-canon) fights after he is absorbed into the machine, he can be heard screaming in pain as you destroy it.

- The final boss can be somewhat intense for less experienced players.
