Gary Lind performed his climactic confession in one take. A couple of backups were shot just in case but ultimately the very first take was used. Douglas Fender was so impressed by the performance that he decided that he was going to keep the one shot, never cutting away during the monologue as to show the whole performance. This was also beneficial to the tight filming day as it prevented the need for other angles to be shot of the scene.
Entire film was shot in one full shooting day.
Jane Black turned up to the set for only a couple of hours to film her scenes.
The script was written by Douglas Fender on a secondary monitor while he did his daily job in a call center. Both himself and Gary Lind had discussed the possibility of making a short of this topic before Fenders baby daughter was born, thus giving them only a couple of months to completion. Gary Lind was shocked to see Douglas present him with a 20 page script as he thought it would be a short 5 minute movie. Regardless, they succeeded in their goal and finished the project before the baby was born.
With the exception of replicating the light of the moon coming through the house at night, all scenes were shot using practicals.
