Beautiful. Very beautiful
Visually stunning. Every image on the screen can be printed out and framed for it is going to be a beautiful picture.

Apart from the best cinematography ever, good acting and the script is OK. A bit slow, though.

Rage, misery, poverty, hunger and richness
valadas26 November 2019
I hope that there was no killing of animals while filming because that is strictly forbidden. But we see two animals dead in a certain scene: a kite and a rabbit This movíe is not exactly about the fight between rich and poor, peasants and landowners but about the real life of the poor peasants in the Portuguese province of Alentejo which leads too personal dramatic actions and even crimes sometimes. At a certain moment we hear these sentences by a voice off: poor are born poor, poor die poor, rich are born rich, rich die rich The movie begins with two murders whose cause is only shown and explained during the movie development in a long flashback. The plains of Alentejo are superbly shown in beautiful images and all performers do an excellent realist job beginning with their very expressive facial features often in close-ups. Good film directing and acting.

Bad movie.

Great picture, any action. It looks theater and the whole story takes less than 30 minutes. Pay for an expensive ticket to watch this in the cinema was a bad decision.
